JT-128 4-Port UHF RFID Fixed Reader for High-Speed Warehouse Inventory

JT-128 is a professional 4-port UHF RFID fixed reader designed for high-speed warehouse inventory and logistics tracking. Powered by the Impinj E710 chipset, it delivers strong sensitivity and reliable multi-tag recognition for dense operations such as shelf replenishment, pallet handling, and portal-based movement tracking. It supports ISO18000-6C / EPC C1 Gen2 and operates across regional bands (865–868 MHz and 902–928 MHz), making it suitable for global warehouse deployments that rely on durable RFID Labels for item-level and container-level identification.

Multi-Antenna Coverage for Dock Doors, Conveyors, and Gate-Style Read Zones

The reader supports four external antenna connections, allowing integrators to define precise read coverage at critical points such as dock doors, conveyor transitions, or zone-based checkpoints. This multi-antenna approach helps maintain consistent visibility while controlling read boundaries in busy areas. For projects that require dedicated passage-style identification at entrances, exits, or vehicle lanes, it can be deployed alongside UHF RFID Gate Readers to standardize lane and portal architectures.

High Throughput, RSSI Monitoring, and Flexible Networking

With a reading rate exceeding 900 times per second and RSSI support, JT-128 provides high throughput and the signal visibility needed for read-quality monitoring. Connectivity options include RS232 and RJ45 Ethernet, with PoE available to simplify installations where power outlets are limited. Wireless variants (WiFi or 4G) are also available for mobile stations or temporary workcells. For encoding checks, commissioning, or desk-side verification prior to deployment, UHF RFID Desktop Readers can complement fixed infrastructure by validating tag behavior and data quickly at the workstation.

PLC/Automation Protocols and Rugged Industrial Hardware

JT-128 supports industrial protocols including MODBUS TCP/IP and MODBUS RTU, making it an efficient choice for warehouses using PLC-driven sorters or automated storage systems. The robust aluminum alloy enclosure and wide DC 9–24V power range support stable operation in daily logistics workflows. Comprehensive SDKs for C++, C, Java, and Android are provided to accelerate software deployment. In sites where staff credentials are managed alongside logistics processes, the same operational discipline can extend to issuing and managing Hotel Key Cards in controlled access areas.

FAQ

Q1: What makes the Impinj E710 chipset better for high-density warehouse inventory?
A1: The E710 chip provides significantly higher sensitivity and faster processing power than previous generations. This allows JT-128 to capture tags on densely packed pallets or tall warehouse racks more accurately and from a greater distance.

Q2: Can I power the JT-128 via the network cable to reduce wiring costs?
A2: Yes. The JT-128 offers a PoE (Power over Ethernet) option, allowing both data and power to be delivered through a single RJ45 cable, which is ideal for ceiling-mounted or remote warehouse installations.

Q3: How does the "Reading rate > 900 times/s" benefit logistics operations?
A3: This high throughput means the reader can identify a larger volume of tags in a shorter window, ensuring no missed reads when a forklift carrying a mixed pallet passes through a portal at typical operational speeds.

Q4: Is JT-128 compatible with AGV or mobile cart applications?
A4: Yes. With optional WiFi and 4G connectivity, plus a wide DC 9–24V input range, JT-128 can be easily integrated onto AGVs or mobile inventory carts where wired Ethernet is not feasible.

Q5: Can I filter tags based on their signal strength to avoid reading items in the next aisle?
A5: Yes. Your application can use this data to set thresholds, ensuring only tags within the intended zone are processed.
